 St. Peter's Lutheran Congregation teams up with Camp Phillip, Inc. of Wautoma, Wisconsin to run a 5 day camp for children entering Kindergarten through seventh grade.
The blessing of this teamwork between our congregation and Camp Phillip can be seen in the coordination of lessons, activities, recreation, music, and even snacks all serving one main theme for the week.
One of our most beloved staff members is Kody the Bear. He is a large hand puppet that is used every day, along with some other puppet characters, to interact with the campers. Kody is definitely fun for all the kids. He is also an important tool for bringing the truth of God's Word to the campers.
Volunteers from St. Peter's Congregation provide the majority of staffing for our day camp. They work along with Camp Phillip representatives, both paid and volunteer, in order to provide a well coordinated experience that it always interesting and educational for the campers.
The greatest blessing of our Day Camp is that God's Word is used every day in simple progressive lessons to teach and remind campers that they need a Savior, that Jesus Christ is their Savior from sin, and that the Lord gives the blessings they need to serve Jesus in their lives.
